What is the Ujamaa BWK?

The Ujamaa BWK Conference is a celebration of Black-owned businesses & entrepreneurs, fostering collaboration, growth, and economic empowerment within our community. This event is inspired by the principle of Ujamaa, one of the seven principles of Kwanzaa, which emphasizes cooperative economics and building wealth within the Black community.

Is it free to have my business listed in the Black-Owned Business Directory?

Yes, basic business listings in the Black-Owned Business Directory are free! To ensure your business is included, simply register your business by here and provide the necessary details. This will guarantee your business is listed in the directory that will be distributed at the Ujamaa BWK Networking Event and available for purchase year-round.

What types of ad packages are available for the event?

We offer a variety of ad packages to fit different business needs and budgets. These include full-page and half-page ads in the Black-Owned Business Directory, with additional benefits such as event visibility and social media promotion. Please visit our Ad Packages page for detailed information.

Can I purchase an ad without buying a full package?

Yes! We offer standalone ad placements where you can select individual ad placements that suit your business needs without purchasing a bundled package.

How do I submit my ad content?

Once you've purchased an ad package, we will provide you with guidelines and specifications for submitting your ad content. Ads must be submitted by December 1, 2024 in the required format to be included in the directory.

How long will the directory be available after the event?

The Black-Owned Business Directory will be available for purchase year-round and distributed both at the event and online through our partners, ensuring long-term visibility for your business.

What is the Black-Owned BWK online directory?

In addition to the physical business directory, we are partnering with Black-Owned BWK to launch an online directory that allows consumers to easily find and support Black-owned businesses in the area. Your ad or listing in the print directory can also appear in this digital format for expanded reach.

Will my business be promoted on social media?

Yes! All participating businesses that purchase ad packages will be featured in social media spotlights leading up to and following the event. Depending on your ad package, you may receive a dedicated post or be included in a group promotion across our social media channels.

What is the deadline for purchasing ad space?

The deadline for purchasing ad space and submitting content for the directory is December 1, 2024. We encourage early submissions to secure your preferred ad placement.

What are the benefits of purchasing an ad package?

Purchasing an ad package provides your business with maximum exposure through event materials, premium ad placements, social media spotlights, and public recognition at the event.
